2月28日 Isn't Technology Great?!?My computer took a major dump last weekend. I have been spending the last 4 or 5 days trying to fix it. Finally, I think we have it taken care of. I pumped a virus protector into it. That wasn't the problem. Small stuff, but nothing that could threaten to tear up my entire hard drive. Mostly adware programs. So, I'm not sure what happen, but it seems to running okay now. A little slow for my tastes maybe, but running never the less. So, never fear my friends. I have not abandoned you again. Was just a little under the weather. So to speak.
2月23日 My Kingdom For a CouchI'm rambling today because I don't have anything real major to talk about. I got my income tax refund and used it to pay off some long outstanding bills. I also bought us a new dining room table and two chairs. Now, we don't have to eat standing up. My son won't need to sleep on a blow up mattress on the floor because I also bought him a new bed. These things will be delivered on Wednesday. The only other major thing we need now is a sofa. Since we moved into the apartment, we have been sitting on folding lawn chairs and they can be very uncomfortable after awhile. There are other things that we need, but I figure we will get them in due time. It is going to take us a while to build our nest. I always do things like this slowly because I have something specific in mind and I am very picky. The bed that I bought for my son has a bookshelf head and foot board. I like it and it will last him until he gets out of high school unless he keeps getting taller. I swear, if he keeps growing, I am going to have to have his bed custom built. Ideally, OP Loftbed has plans for a bed that would be perfect for him. If you are interested in something like a loftbed for your young teenager, I suggest you check them out. OP Loftbed is the company that college students turn to when they need a place to sleep and room to study. We all know how small dorm rooms can be. Anyway, go to www.oploftbed.com and check out their pictures. You can also buy the plans for the beds and build them your self with lumber from any lumber yard. Or, you can purchase ready made kits that are inexpensive. At least I think you can. I don't remember. Check them out. Well, that is enough for now. My son and I are watching the Da Vinci Code tonight and I have some research to do for my Ostara ritual.

Flixster - Share Movies This was a fantastic book. I hope the movie does it justice. 2月11日 Hey!! What happen to the pictures?I decided to take the picture page off for a while. It needs a major overhaul and I haven't quite figured out what I want to put on it yet. I'm sure some of the old stuff will reappear. Right now, I am contemplating a series based on the downtown architecture around the Salt Lake area. There are some beautiful buildings around here. I know that it has probably been done a million times, but that is the beauty of art and photography. A million people could see the same thing in a million different ways.
I think I mentioned that my mom gave me her 35 mm SLR as a Christmas gift. I am kicking myself in the ass because I haven't taken the time to use it since I got it. It isn't that I haven't had the time. I've just been lazy. I don't really have any other reason. I have often thought of carrying it in the car with me all the time, but I don't want to leave it in the car exposed to the heat and cold while I am at work.
Anyway, it's late, so I'm going now. I'll drop another line or two soon.
2月8日 It's about timeWell, it is. I'm sure you all were getting tired of hearing the same song everytime you came to visit. So, for now there is no music. Not till I see what is in my "storage unit."
It turns out my muse hasn't totally abandoned me. I've been writing. Of course, I know that is obvious because you can read, but I have been working on other stuff that at this point in time is too long to post here. Who knows. Maybe you'll see me in print some day. Then, I can quit working and live off the advance money that I will get for my next novel. Yeah right, but I can dream, can't I?
I have been sick. Three weeks ago, I came down with a cold. It was more of a nucense than anything. A few aches and pains, nasty, nagging cough. Last week, I thought that I had licked it. HAAA!!! The last three days I have been stuffy, croupy, and achy. You know the Pink Floyd song "Comfortably Numb" and the way that he describes how his head feels. That is me. But, I go to work anyway because I'm not dead and that is pretty much what it would take for me to stay home.
Well, I must be going now. Stay tuned. More changes to come. I will be updating my photo albums, purging old material and more or less turning Dragonfly's Garden upside down.
2月1日 I'm going live...Finally, after being here for 6 months, we will be going live. On Monday, they will be coming in to get our phone and internet hooked up. Yaaaahooooo!!! So, I will finally be able to update pictures and sound. I have been so longing to change things up a little bit and I am sure you all are getting tired of listening to the same song everytime you visit.
So, stay tuned...Things are about to get interesting. |
