3月27日 What Do You Want In Your Life?If you believe it, it will come.
I'm sure you all have heard something at some point in your lives about Creative Visualization and the power of positive thinking. These are two very pagan concepts. These are used as part of the magic of manifesting desires into your life. Both are very effective ways of bringing those desires into the real world.
To explain how this works in magic, I will take an example from my personal life as I am living it right now. I have decided to go back to school and get an AAS as a Phamacy Technician. Once I start, it will take a little more than a year to finish. This is a serious sacrifice for me because I have to give up time I would normally spend with my son, but I don't think about that. What I think about is that this is something I want desperately because not only would my future be more or less guarenteed (The school has a 100% placement rate in this field. Plus, I would be nationally certified and able to work anywhere in the country), I could give my son the life that I think he deserves.
So, I gather my spell supplies, set up my altar, cast my circle and do a spell to make this desire a reality in our life. From the time I begin preparing for the spell, I have a very clear picture of what the end result will be like; meaning how our lives will play out after I finish my degree and secure my new job. I imagine the who, what, when, where, why and how of the situation as it will be. The image is so strong that it plays like a mental movie. I feel it. The "perfection" of the outcome. Ya, I know it will never be perfect. It's life. Life is never perfect, but to think about the negative things that can happen weakens the spell, so I imagine perfection. Nothing going wrong, everything falling into place and creating the perfect picture.
Once I complete the spell, I close down my circle and put the mental movie away. I have been told that once the spell has been cast, it is better not to think about it again. To think about it is to stew over it, which also weakens the spell because you start to think about all of the negative things that can happen.
Anyway, this is just a little peak into what I have been thinking of lately. No, I haven't done the spell yet. This is part of the preparation. Thinking about it and working the details out in my mind before I commit them to paper. I write all of my spells out to make sure they flow well and so that I can document them from beginning to manifestation.
Love and Light my friends 3月13日 Ask and Ye Shall ReceiveDo you remember when I told you about my buying blitz? The day I bought a new dining table and chairs and a bed for my son? Do you also recall that I said the only thing I was lacking now was a couch on which to park my carcass?
I got a surprise when I got home yesterday. There was a couch in my livingroom. My neighbors upstairs are moving out. Apparently, she noticed that we didn't have any furniture. Really, it isn't that hard to notice. You can look right into my house from the sidewalk. Anyway, she told my son that we have first dibs on whatever they weren't taking with them. Is that cool, or what?

Love and light my friends 3月9日 Give Me a BreakThe nation's top two law enforcement officials acknowledged Friday the FBI broke the law to secretly pry out personal information about Americans. They apologized and vowed to prevent further illegal intrusions.
Who are they kidding? Do they think that a simple apology is going to make things right? Humans by nature don't like to have their privacy invaded. Now, we find out that the FBI, people we were supposed to trust, betrayed us. And they think "I'm sorry" will be enough? I don't think so!!! We deserve more!!! Dammit!!! Doesn't the FBI have to answer to The Shrub? Where does he factor into this? If they find out that he had knowledge of what was happening, will he be held accountable?
This makes me so angry!!!! Why do we let our government do this? We had a chance to fix this mess during the last election and now we are reaping the rewards of our incompetent elected officals. No, I don't think I could do better. I wouldn't even want to try. But, this administration and their convoluted ideas of what it takes to keep America safe are causing more harm than good

Love and Light my friends 3月3日 Spring is on the WayMost of you know that I am Wiccan. So, it should come as no surprise that I celebrate the first day of Spring as if it were Christmas...Well, not quite, but you get the idea. Anyway, we - that is most Wiccans and pagans I know - call it Ostara. It is the celebration of Spring and the awakening of the Earth after a long, cold slumber.
Anyway, I wrote a celebration ritual that my son and I are going to do on Ostara. It is too long to write here, but if you follow this link - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/aspen_grove_gathering/

Yes, I said 'MY'. This is a group on yahoo that I created for people who wanted a small group where their voice can be heard. Most of the other groups I found online are huge. I set the group up in December and there is only one other person besides me right now. The group is posted on Witchvox.com. If you're interested, check it out. The group is very, very basic at the moment. I add stuff on a more or less daily basis.
Anyway, I am off on my next adventure. They are coming to hook up cable television today. Whoohooo! We're getting right up town now.
