4月3日 I Are Now A StudentWell, for better or worse, I have decided that this is it. I am going back to school. Classes start on May 2nd and I will be in school for 14 to 18 months. When I am finished I will have my AAS as a Pharmacy Technician. The big joke with all my friends and family is that when I am done I will be able to sell drugs legally. Hahaha
I finished all of the financial aid paper work today and I qualified for a Pell Grant to cover part of the tuition. Sometime this week if I can get out of work early, I will go in and talk to Work Force Services to see if they can pick up part of the tab under one of their training programs. Then, I will be hitting the internet hot and heavy looking for scholarships that I might be eligible for. The more free money I can get to pay for this little endeavor, the better off I will be. Barring a miracle, I know that I may have to get a loan to pay for some of it. The less I have to borrow, the better I will feel later when it comes time to pay it back. Especially since I already have loans out there that I have been paying on.
Oh ya, I almost forgot. I am going back to my old job. The one that brought me to Salt Lake in the first place. Hey! It pays better than the one I've got now and the benefits are WAY better. Plus, when I talked to them about coming back, they said they would help me work out a schedule that will work around school and family obligations. Which means I might actually have time to fix a decent meal for my son before I have to go to class. Considering one of my biggest concerns when I decided to take on this challange was how I was going to make time for my son between work and school, that would ROCK!!!
